Trumpet virtuoso Ibrahim Maalouf, who incorporates numerous musical genres ranging from jazz to rock with his unique style, will be performing at Volkswagen Arena, İstanbul, as part of the tour of his new album “Red & Black Light" inspired by Umm Kulthum (Ümmü Gülsüm) the Star of the East and dedicated to the women of today. The performance to take place on Saturday, April 23, will be accompanied by a special light show and is brought to you by Pozitif Live.

In the album that stands as a tribute to the important role women have assumed for a better world, Maalouf introduces Arabic melodies to jazz music which he enriches with electronic and pop sounds. Realized by the inspiration he drew from Umm Kulthum, the world renowned Egyptian artist with her enchanting timbre, the album also conveys reflections of the women in Maalouf's life on his music.
